The “Corquete” (Fig. A) is the traditional tool used for grape harvesting. The San Mateo fiestas mark the start of the wine harvest, around the 21st of September. Logroño puts on its many colours and the streets of the city ring with the revelry of the “Peñas” (clubs of friends).
