Who would have thought, in La Rioja, in this land of wine, that Mateo & Bernabé would appear as the first hand-crafted beer?  We want to be an alternative to regular beer drinking and bring more elements to complement the well-known gastronomic products and resources that already exist in La Rioja, all based on quality and tradition. Each of the “friends” who make up Mateo & Bernabé is made with the most loving of processes; we understand that tradition and modernity, care and detail are perfectly compatible concepts. Mateo & Bernabé is a wager, a daring enterprise that seeks to implement into the world of Spanish beer, the expertise that has made La Rioja a leader in wine industry across the globe. Hence, the first part of our name is in reference to Saint Mateo, the Patron Saint of the wine harvest festival, and the second part, for Saint Bernabé, the Patron Saint of our home town Logroño.
